Duties, Responsibilities & Other KCI Technologies is seeking an experienced Site/Civil Engineer or Landscape Architect to join our Land Development team in the Mid‑Atlantic region. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who enjoys managing projects and teams, navigating the regulatory process, and contributing to our continued growth. What You’ll Do Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, landscape architects, and designers delivering high‑quality civil/site designs Oversee the full project lifecycle—from initial site visits and concept development through zoning and planning coordination, permitting, and construction documents Serve as a trusted advisor to clients across commercial, mixed‑use, retail, industrial, energy, and other land development projects Collaborate closely with the Practice Leader to grow the business by strengthening existing client relationships and developing new opportunities Prepare and oversee fee proposals, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to support professional growth and project success across the team Conduct site visits, gather existing conditions data, and perform construction inspections as needed Partner with project assistants on project setup, invoicing, and closeout to ensure seamless project administration Prepare technical reports, regulatory submittals, and client deliverables with a high level of quality and professionalism What We’re Looking For Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license (required) Proven experience in land development engineering design, permitting, and regulatory processes Demonstrated success managing projects, teams, and client relationships Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style Experience preparing fee proposals and managing project financials A passion for mentoring and developing future engineering and design professionals Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related AEC field with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience, or 8 years of equivalent experience Participation in continuing education and professional development programs Proven experience in project management roles with a track record of successful delivery Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Deep technical knowledge in the specific field of the project Proficiency with project management software and tools, and the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols Effective problem‑solving skills and strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements Strong comprehension of accounting principles to manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training, and pass the PM Board within 6 months of start date Pre‑employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
