Safety Engineer Intern

The Safety Engineer Intern is responsible for Assisting GROB’s Safety Professional to identify and improve safety processes within a manufacturing environment to provide the safest work environment possible for GROB employees. Assist GROB’s Safety Professional with the following: Provide appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training for all employees Assist management in the inspection of worksites to assure safe conditions for employees; prepare recommendations to management on ways to reduce and/or eliminate identified hazards Complete timely and thorough incident investigations with appropriate documentation and develop measures to prevent further occurrences Conduct job safety and PPE assessments; recommend PPE purchases as necessary Participate in and/or lead safety meetings Additional tasks as required Education and Experience Requirements: Enrolled in a relevant degree program, preferably in environmental health and safety discipline Knowledge of basic OSHA principles General Requirements: Must be self-motivated and able to problem solve complex situations while utilizing available resources Excellent oral and written communication skills Exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Application Information Applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr GROB Group
