Location: Hillandale – Lithonia, GA 30058 Responsibilities Conduct basic patient assessments, including visual acuity tests, intraocular pressure measurements, and dilation. Perform a range of tests such as confrontation visual fields, cover testing, and versions, and assist in manifest refractions. Greet patients warmly, explain testing procedures, answer questions, and provide necessary education. Work closely with the clinical support team and providers to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow. Maintain a safe work environment by recognizing and addressing common safety hazards. Utilize the EMR system to accurately record patient data and ensure it’s ready for provider review. Qualifications Education: High school diploma required; some college or a degree preferred. Certification as a COA or COT is a plus. Experience: 1‑2 years in a healthcare environment. Key Competencies: Electronic Medical Records (EMR) proficiency: experienced in using EMR systems to manage patient information efficiently. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Reliability and punctuality. Organized multitasking and attention to detail. Proactive issue resolution. Typing proficiency: minimum 45 words per minute with high accuracy. Active listening and learning. Knowledge of diagnostic codes. Empathetic and patient‑focused. Effective team coordination. Team player.
