Operations Manager

General Description The Operations Manager will build strategic relationships and business development opportunities with commercial and industrial clients seeking concrete construction services. This job entails working with our field crews to meet budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives. This position includes complete ownership of all project budgets and requires communication with Project Management and Field teams. Key Responsibilities Supervise, direct, develop, and communicate with the project team Accountable for safety performance and financial results across all projects Develop an overall project plan and set expectations for the project team Direct and align manpower resources to meet execution goals Maintain relationships by staying engaged with the customer throughout the project Plan and supervise all activities including determining the method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment and work schedule Proactively identify and resolve field construction problems Review all budgets, schedules, and productivity with Project Managers Actively participate in business development and estimating activities Lead hiring and development of project managers and field leadership Requirements Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook Good organizational and communication skills 8+ years of progressive experience in field management for a large scale Self-Perform GC or Concrete Contractor Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering strongly preferred Advanced knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to manage large groups Ability to read and interpret construction documents Exemplary leadership and high-level decision-making abilities Current valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug screen Competitive annual base salary Discretionary bonus based on project performance and profitability Truck reimbursement, cell phone reimbursement, and gas card Paid time off (PTO) Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with 100% company match on the first 3% and 50% match on the next 2% Ongoing training, mentorship, and a clear path for career advancement in a fast-growing company VMI Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vmi Group Inc.
