Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct thorough mental health assessments that take into account the interaction between psychiatric conditions and patients’ physical health issues.

  Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the patient's needs.

  Work closely with medical providers to ensure coordinated care through regular communication and case management updates.

  Provide immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques where necessary.

  Educate patients on the interconnection between their mental health and physical conditions, equipping them with the tools to manage both effectively.

  Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all patient interactions compliant with legal and ethical standards.

  Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning to foster a holistic treatment approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily serve patients with complex needs, including those with co-occurring psychiatric disorders and chronic medical conditions such as chronic pain syndromes, autoimmune diseases, and substance use disorders. The role requires empathy and understanding to navigate the unique challenges these populations face, providing culturally competent care that respects each patient’s background and circumstances.

Qualifications\n

  A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.

Compensation and Benefits\n
