Position Overview Amentum is seeking a day‑shift Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our facility maintenance team in Ladson, SC. Typical hours are 7:00am to 7:00pm, with flexibility based on business demand. The technician will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on low‑voltage (up to 480V) and medium‑voltage (up to 15kV) electrical distribution systems and associated equipment. Responsibilities Operate, care for, and troubleshoot the low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical distribution system, including 120V, 277V, 480V, 4160V, and 15kV power, lighting, substations, switchgear, transformers, cables, relays, and meters. Assist in the planning of shutdowns and respond to client service requests, providing status updates on power and lighting. Use Automated Building Controls and electrical monitoring systems to support energy‑efficiency initiatives. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, including PLC and motor‑control systems, VFD drives, and lighting infrastructure. Develop and modify work plans and standard operating procedures, recommending reliability improvements. Analyze problems, recommend solutions, and initiate repairs in a team environment. Adhere to all Environmental, Safety and Health programs, including arc‑flash procedures, job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements. Operate measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments and other tools to support maintenance activities. Provide service and feedback on all work orders while ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications 1–3years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of low‑ and medium‑voltage electrical distribution systems. High‑school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift up to 30feet (or higher). Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Compensation $28–$32 per hour (range may vary based on experience and role responsibilities).
