What You’ll Do

As a Direct Support Professional , you will:

• Provide supervision and support to individuals according to their Individual Support Plans and Behavioral Support Plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, household cleaning, shopping, and other daily needs.
• Encourage individuals to develop skills that promote greater independence and quality of life.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, community activities, day programs, family visits, and other activities as needed.
• Support individuals in developing relationships and becoming active members of their communities.
• Administer medications in accordance with program requirements and applicable training.
• Provide trauma-informed care and maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive residential environment.
• Monitor and respond appropriately to crisis situations while following established policies and procedures.
• Complete required documentation, including daily logs, medication records, goal documentation, incident reports, and other program records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure the needs and goals of each individual are met.
• Participate in required training, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer and internet skills
• Ability to read, write, and complete required documentation in English
• Ability to complete all required training, including CPR, First Aid, and other assigned training
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Preferred

• Associate or bachelor’s degree
• Previous experience in human services, intellectual/developmental disabilities, behavioral health, residential services, or direct care

Schedule

We are currently hiring for Part-Time Weekend DSP positions .

Available Schedules:

• Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturday & Sunday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 16 hours per week
• $18.00/hour

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, twist, and climb steps as required
• Ability to drive a vehicle as part of job responsibilities
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as required
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
