Moab Cleaner Position

Moab is building modern, all-in-one software for equipment dealers and rental businesses — an industry still running on software built in the 1980s and 90s. We're a small team that takes pride in our space and in the people who help us keep it running.

About the Role

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented cleaner to keep our NYC office in great shape. This is a part-time position, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm — 30 hours a week, on-site at our office.

Tuesday through Friday, you'll be working alongside the team during the day, so this is a role for someone comfortable moving through a busy office. Saturdays are quiet, which makes them the natural time for the deeper work. Once you know the space, you'll largely set your own rhythm. We're not looking to supervise every task — we're looking for someone we can trust to keep the place consistently sharp.

What You'll Do

• Conference rooms and common areas — wipe down surfaces, reset chairs, clear leftover cups and materials, clean whiteboards, make rooms meeting-ready.

• Glass — clean all interior glass and glass doors so they're streak-free.

• Floors — sweep, mop, and vacuum, including under and around desks.

• Kitchen and pantry — load/unload the dishwasher, clean counters, sink, microwave, and coffee equipment, restock the fridge and snack stations, clean up after team lunches.

• Trash and recycling — empty bins, replace liners, take waste to the building's disposal area.

• Restrooms — clean, sanitize, and restock paper products and soap.

• Dusting and high-touch surfaces — desks, shelves, baseboards, door handles, light switches.

• Deeper cleaning, typically on Saturdays — interior windows, appliance interiors, behind and beneath furniture.

You'll also keep an eye on supply levels and give us a heads-up before we run out, and flag maintenance issues you notice.

What You Need

• Prior cleaning experience, ideally in an office or commercial setting. Residential counts if you've done this work consistently.

• Reliability above all. You show up when you say you will, and communicate early if something comes up.

• Attention to detail. You notice the smudge on the glass and the bin that's almost full without being told twice.

• Independence. After a few weeks, you'll know the space better than we do, and can manage your own checklist.

• Discretion. You'll be working around a team on calls, with confidential material on desks and screens.

• Able to stand and move for most of a shift and occasionally lift up to ~25 lbs.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in a startup or small-office setting where the scope is broad.

• Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and equipment.

• Availability for occasional event or after-hours cleanups.

• $30/hour, 30 hours per week (Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 am–2:00 pm)
