Located in the heart of East Austin, ARRIVE Austin is the perfect neighborhood hotel for guests looking for a blend of modern luxury, local authenticity, and friendly hospitality. With meticulously designed rooms and three distinct dining outlets, ARRIVE Austin welcomes travelers and locals alike.

POSITION PROFILE:

The Barista/Server brings the coffee bar and floor service together at ARRIVE Austin, preparing espresso drinks and refreshments while creating a warm, welcoming guest experience. You'll be the upbeat, detail-oriented presence guests remember.

THE TASK AT HAND:

• Create a warm, welcoming guest experience, from greeting to farewell, that turns first-time guests into regulars.
• Learn our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out.
• Take orders, prepare espresso drinks, serve coffee and other refreshments, gladly adjusting milk, sugar, and shot ratios to guest preference.
• Keep the coffee bar and side-work areas restocked, replenished, prepped, and organized, working with the team to keep everything running smoothly.
• Communicate openly with restaurant managers on customer feedback and collaborate with hotel staff so overnight guests know about our offerings and promotions.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and accurately receive and process payments.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Required

• Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and follow directions through to completion.
• A clear thinker who stays calm under pressure, resolves problems with good judgment, and works cohesively as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule, available to work a variety of shifts.

Preferred

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience preferred.

Physical

• Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 25 lbs., and continuously stand, walk, and bend for an 8-hour shift.
