Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for emergency medicine, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in the Emergency Department to individuals of all age groups.
• Assess and monitor patients effectively, including those experiencing high acuity conditions such as chest pain, abdominal pain, and sepsis.
• Administer medications such as antibiotics, narcotics, and emergency medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with team members to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
• Utilize TeleHealth services and focus on purposeful rounding to enhance patient experience.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, Workplace Violence Training (HSS Team).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to ask questions.

Work Environment

• Trauma Level: STEMI Receiving Stroke Center, certified stroke center.
• Total beds/trauma bays: 18 beds.
• Patient ratios: 1:4-5 based on acuity.
• EMR System: EPIC.
• Shifts: 12-hour shifts, including day and night rotations.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs.

Orientation and Training

New hires will undergo 2 shifts of department-specific orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Additional Notes

Candidates are required to adhere to fingernail policies and must present a valid driver's license upon submission. The position may involve floating requirements based on departmental needs; however, block scheduling can be difficult to accommodate.
