DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This role supports the cleanliness and upkeep of the Governor's Residence and assists the First Family and guests during events. As a Housekeeper, you will perform the following duties:

• Daily Cleaning: Carry out regular housekeeping tasks, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and returning items to their proper places
• Floor Care: Maintain floors by dust mopping, damp mopping, and removing spots and fingerprints
• Laundry Services: Sort, wash, iron, fold, and store clothing and linens while handling delicate items with care
• Bathroom Upkeep: Clean and sanitize bathrooms, replenish supplies, and polish fixtures
• Event Support: Assist with public and private events, providing service that meets high standards of guest experience
• Supply Management: Monitor cleaning supplies and report maintenance needs to supervisors

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Schedule varies based on operational needs. OT to be expected.
• Essential Employee - Required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience in general housekeeping work and cooking on a family or residence basis; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

• You must possess and maintain a valid non-commercial Class C Pennsylvania driver's license or equivalent.

Additional Requirement:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualification (not required):

• Experience with professional laundering and basic sewing/repairs

Legal Requirements:

• This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
