Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed telemetry and surgical floor
• Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and post-surgical observation
• Accurately document all patient care activities and clinical findings using EPIC
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care plans
• Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
• Complete NIH and stroke education requirements as mandated for acute care RN staff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia or a compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Specialty experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry within the last year
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIH stroke scale training or education
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
