Job Description
Play a vital role in supporting young learners by contributing your expertise as a School Psychologist. This full-time, contract position focuses on an elementary school caseload, offering the opportunity to positively impact students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
- Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and write clear, actionable reports
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students to determine their learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions to support student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and guide next steps
- Educate school staff and families about best practices in supporting student mental health and well-being
