The role includes co‑teaching in academic classrooms and support classes that teach study skills, as well as instruction in executive functioning skills. Responsibilities Teach academic and executive functioning skill classes. Collaborate with other staff to develop IEPs and provide input for student reevaluations. Communicate regularly with families of students receiving services. Maintain service delivery logs and progress notes; use ongoing assessments to evaluate and report on student progress. Qualifications BA/BS degree. Master’s in Special Education with certification as Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities. Demonstrated ability to engage, direct, and teach high‑school‑age students. Skill at setting limits, processing events, and guiding students in behavior and self‑management. Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations, including mandated reporting. Experience with IEP‑focused service delivery or solution‑focused counseling. Ability to establish strong relationships with students and parents. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Reading Instruction training is not required but is an advantage.
