About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day/Night rotation with weekend shifts. Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift). Rotating holidays. Float responsibilities to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.

Highlights:

• Advanced cardiovascular intensive care with complex cardiac patient population including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplants, VAD implantation, and ECMO
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2, allowing for focused, high-quality critical care
• Epic electronic medical records system utilized facility-wide
• 36-hour comprehensive orientation program to ensure successful transition
• Interdisciplinary team support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services
• Extensive critical care equipment experience including hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT, and ventricular assist devices

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required clinical skills: IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz/pulmonary artery lines, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and central line management
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
