Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 36 hours per week, day and night shifts available. Rotating schedule includes weekdays and some weekends (up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period). Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block. Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift. Rotating holidays required.

Highlights:

• Estimated patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for critical cardiac care
• Complex case mix including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, heart and lung transplant, VAD implantation, ECMO, and aortic repairs
• Advanced critical care technology including Swan Ganz monitoring, IABP, Impella, ventilators, CRRT, and temporary pacemakers
• Epic EMR system used throughout the facility
• 36 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity level as needed (typically no more than once every 4 weeks)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Skills required: IV start, telemetry monitoring, ventilator management, Swan Ganz, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Ability to complete urgent fingerprinting requirements for Ohio (strict compliance deadlines apply)
