We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a construction company in New York, New York. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can independently manage day-to-day accounting operations while keeping financial records accurate and organized. The position requires strong experience with Sage 100, job costing, and the preparation of reliable financial reports.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full bookkeeping cycle, maintaining accurate financial records for daily and monthly accounting activity.
• Process vendor invoices and payment schedules while ensuring accounts payable transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
• Manage customer billing, monitor incoming payments, and maintain organized accounts receivable records.
• Complete regular bank and account reconciliations to confirm balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting reports to provide a clear view of company performance.
• Apply job costing methods within Sage 100 to track project-related expenses and support construction accounting needs.
• Review accounting data for accuracy and follow up on inconsistencies to keep records current and dependable.• Proven experience working as a Full Charge Bookkeeper with responsibility for complete accounting functions.
• Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.
• Practical experience using Sage 100 in a bookkeeping or accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of job costing, preferably within the construction industry.
• Ability to prepare financial statements accurately and interpret supporting financial data.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage work independently in a part-time role.
