A bit about us: We are working with a well-established, successful family law firm with a prescence throughout Illinois that is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join the team! Location: REMOTE (must be able to occasionally travel into Chicago for trial prep if needed) Salary Range: Negotiable depending on years of experience Why join us? Job Details We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Family Law Attorney to represent clients in a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, maintenance, and related proceedings. Responsibilities: Represent clients in divorce and other family law matters Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients Draft and review pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, negotiations, and trials Handle discovery and communicate with opposing counsel Appear in court and advocate for clients during hearings and proceedings Negotiate settlements and assist clients in reaching favorable resolutions Maintain regular communication with clients and provide updates throughout their cases Manage case deadlines, calendars, and overall case progression Collaborate with paralegals and other members of the legal team Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active Illinois Bar license in good standing 7+ years of experience practicing family law & able to handle a caseload from start to finish Strong knowledge of Illinois family law and court procedures Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
