Head of Production
Skyfront
Skyfront builds the world's longest endurance multicopter drones for commercial and defense applications. Our products fly for hours and hundreds of miles, to detect, transport, and explore without risking human life, for a fraction of the cost of traditional aircraft.
Role
Skyfront is transforming from small to full scale production. We are hiring a Head of Production to own day-to-day manufacturing operations at our Redwood City facility. You will lead our production, testing, and flight test teams. You will manage the build schedule, and drive quality, throughput, and on-time delivery of our aircraft. As we bring machining and additional processes in-house, you will play a central role in standing up new manufacturing capability and shaping how Skyfront builds at scale.
Responsibilities
- Manage the production lifecycle from order to finished delivery to final product
- Manage the assembly, integration, and flight test teams
- Manage inventory and update our MRP software on a monthly basis
- Make sure that products are delivered on timeProvide delivery timeline estimates to the sales team
- Report directly to the CEO, providing status updates on orders and inventory levels
- Your KPIs will be # drones shipped per month and % of drones shipped on time

- > 3 years of experience as a production manager or similar role
- Mastery of spreadsheets and word processing
- Fluidity with AI tools, specifically Claude
