Food and Beverage Manager

Job Details Job Location: Chugiak, AK 99567 Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 Salary/year Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all food and beverage operations within Chin’an Gaming Hall, including managing budgets, ensuring exceptional guest service, developing menus, and managing inventory, as well as ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, and full compliance with regulatory and gaming standards. Qualifications Operational Leadership Oversee daily operations of all casino food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, and lounge areas. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food, beverages, and guest service. Monitor casino floor service and coordinate with other departments to maximize guest satisfaction. Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and gaming regulations. Staff Management Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise food and beverage staff. Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action as needed. Foster a positive, team-oriented environment focused on excellence and guest engagement. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations and operational updates. Financial & Inventory Management Manage budgets, labor costs, and financial reports for F& B outlet. Monitor sales trends, develop strategic plans to increase revenue, and control operating costs. Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory control to ensure proper stock levels and minimize waste. Work with vendors to negotiate contracts and maintain product quality. Guest Experience & Service Standards Implement and maintain service standards that reflect a premium casino hospitality experience. Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure all F& B staff adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines. Maintains composure and confidentiality in sensitive situations Collaborate with marketing and events teams to support special events, promotions, and VIP services. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to state gaming regulations, alcohol service laws, and internal policies. Monitor food safety procedures, sanitation standards, and health department requirements. Manage incident reports, audits, and corrective actions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School Diploma and/or GED required. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage management; casino or high-volume hospitality environment is strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and analyze financial reports. Knowledge of food safety guidelines, alcohol service regulations, and gaming industry standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Additional Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Ability to acquire TAPS and Food Handlers card prior to employment. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to inspire, coach, and manage a diverse team. Respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guests. Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous and professional manner. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
