Job Overview:

The primary focus of the HRIS Analyst I position is the support and maintenance of the Human Resource Management systems. This individual performs all the necessary functions to ensure the integrity of HRIS data and ensures the data is compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements and corporate HRIS standards and processes. This is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. The HRIS Analyst I is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support for end users, maintains and updates databases; develops and conducts training sessions as needed
  • Audits, analyzes, and updates a variety of data maintained electronically
  • Monitors the HR data systems, builds queries, and creates reporting in Microsoft Great Plains and/or ADP System and other HRIS systems
  • Maintains knowledge of data access techniques including any required query languages used for database management and analysis
  • Packages metrics/analysis into presentations and reports for management
  • Conducts broad-based workforce analysis using available HRIS data
  • Performs to adhoc reporting requests and delivers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinates and processes employee changes submitted from the company's intranet in a timely fashion
  • May acts as the HRIS partner with IT when testing software upgrades as well as routine maintenance
  • Reviews and recommends HR processes to ensure continuous improvement of efficiencies
  • Monitors and ensures that transactions are processed consistently and that data integrity is maintained
  • Provides assistance on projects related to all facets of the Human Resources Division
  • Works with others to ensure accurate requirements are defined
  • Provides technical advice and consultation
  • Provides timely project status and issue reporting to management
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Information Systems or related field- required
  • Two (2) years of HR or Planning and Analysis experience or a combination of both - required
  • One (1) year of experience in the HRIS job function- required
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers with experience using Microsoft products; a specialized skills test will be administered with a minimum passing score of 80%-required
  • Report trending and quantitative reporting experience- preferred
  • Knowledge of building queries in Microsoft Access and/or SQL- preferred
  • Demonstrates skills in planning and project management- preferred
  • Proven experience with the nature and flow of the business and application to the analysis
  • Must have proficient computer skills to query databases, run reports, design and perform other HRIS computer operations as necessary
  • Experienced user of Microsoft's Great Plains or ADP program is strongly desired
  • Must possess a high level of maturity and the ability to maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
