About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68147!

• Provide intermediate-level cardiac and vascular nursing care to patients including downgraded CVICU patients, supporting thoracic, EP, cath lab, and structural heart programs
• Manage and titrate drips including Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Nicardipine, Epinephrine, Cardizem, and other blood pressure management medications
• Monitor, read, and interpret telemetry strips independently; unit utilizes remote tele techs with hardwired and tele box capabilities
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, or 1:3 for post-surgical patients within the first 24 hours
• Float to units of the same or lower acuity level as needed
• Successfully pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%

• Active RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiac stepdown or equivalent patient population
• Experience titrating drips in a cardiac or intermediate care setting
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal (used to verify radius eligibility)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; candidates currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity are not eligible

• Experience caring for patients with diagnoses such as CVA, CHF, A-fib with RVR, and other cardiac and vascular conditions
• Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP respiratory support equipment
• Comfort working in a high-acuity intermediate care environment with intensivist and cardiology support

• Work alongside a well-supported team including charge nurses, patient care techs, respiratory therapy available 24/7, and in-house hospitalist and intensivist coverage
• Gain experience in a specialized cardiac unit with a robust multidisciplinary care model supporting thoracic surgery, electrophysiology, and structural heart programs
