THE POSITION

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor with the Department of Human Services, you will help lead dedicated staff who care for residents at the South Mountain Restoration Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Registered Nurse Supervisor oversees the planning, delivery, and evaluation of resident care while supporting nursing staff and ensuring adherence to standards. This role requires steady leadership, clear communication, and a strong commitment to resident well-being. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

• Resident Care Oversight: Guide the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care across multiple care areas
• Staff Leadership: Provide direction, mentorship, and support to nursing personnel and interdisciplinary team members
• Communication Practices: Maintain clear communication with residents, families, and staff while managing information flow across shifts
• Training Support: Participate in performance improvement efforts and provide ongoing education and orientation to staff
• Record Documentation: Maintain accurate records, complete assessments and evaluations, and oversee documentation activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating on and off duty days including weekends and holidays. This may change based on operational needs.
• Overtime as operationally necessary
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements:

• This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
