Description

American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic/Sleep Technologist for a night shift sleep center role requiring RPSGT or RST credentialing and at least one year of sleep lab experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based sleep center performing in-center and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT)
• Night shift, rotating 4x10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Rotating weekend shifts or all weekends if desired
• No major holiday shifts required

Requirements

• Minimum one year of relevant sleep lab experience required
• Associate's Degree in Polysomnographic Technology or completion of a certificate program in Polysomnographic Technology required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or RST (Registered Sleep Technologist) credential required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in oximetry, actigraphy, MSLT, and MWT testing required
• Experience with sleep/wake stage scoring and clinical event identification required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Educate and support patients and families regarding sleep related conditions
• Perform PAP interface fitting, desensitization, and patient education
• Prepare patients for testing, perform equipment and physiologic calibrations, and monitor data quality
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to professional guidelines and generate accurate reports
• Perform equipment cleaning, disinfection, and maintain infection control standards
• Support quality and performance improvement initiatives within the sleep center
• Provide age-specific care for all patient populations seen in the sleep lab
• Maintain effective, professional communication with internal and external customers
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible
