Shift: Day Shift – Rotating Schedule
Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts | 40 hours/week | Every other weekend and some holidays

Pay Rate
Traveler: $1,000 - $1,500/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced LVN/LPN to provide urgent care nursing support, assist providers with patient evaluations and procedures, and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted California LVN license required at submission.

• Minimum 1 year of urgent care or emergency department experience.

• Minimum 2 years of overall outpatient clinical experience.

• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) only.

• Required IV-related skills and blood withdrawal/phlebotomy experience.

• Prior EPIC electronic health record experience.

• Current flu vaccination; declinations and exemptions are not accepted.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

• Ability to manage multiple patient care priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Ability to work rotating shifts, every other weekend, some holidays, and float to other locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with acute illnesses, minor injuries, and other urgent medical concerns.

• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and relevant patient information.

• Assist providers with patient assessments, examinations, and treatment procedures.

• Perform authorized nursing procedures, including IV-related tasks and blood specimen collection, within California regulations and facility protocols.

• Collect, label, and prepare laboratory specimens for processing.

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the scope of practice.

• Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the treating provider.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in EPIC.

• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.

• Follow infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and standard precautions.

• Prepare examination rooms, maintain equipment, and ensure clinical supplies are available.

• Collaborate with providers, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare team members to maintain efficient patient flow.

• Follow established clinical policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

• Work rotating schedules, cover required weekends and some holidays, and float to other locations as assigned.
