Physical Therapist* Sign-on Incentive Available *$5,000 after 30 days $5000 after 6 months $5000 after 12 months 2-year commitment and repayment to be pro-rated. Pay Rate: $50/hrEssential Functions:Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition.Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results.Develop treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.Create personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.Advise patients on exercise techniques.Advise patients and their families about in-home treatment options.Provide educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.Document patient care history.Comply with rules, regulations, and procedures.Skills Abilities:Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.Ability to complete competency for CPR/First Aid.Ability to perform simple mathematical equations.Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.Effective oral and written communication skills.Compassionate and attentive to detail.Ability to manage patients with different personalities.Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices.Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level.Ability to use a computer and software proficiently.Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques.Working Conditions:Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.Physical Demands:Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Qualifications:A master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.Passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE).A valid license to practice physical therapy.Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program.Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experienceExperience in hospital setting preferred.
