Associate Banker

Overview Part‑time position scheduled for 30 hours per week. The role delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifying customer needs and providing advice and guidance regarding financial solutions in the best interests of customers. Responsibilities Welcome and guide customers as they enter the branch lobby, offering advice on available digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast. As a lobby leader, conduct client conversations about banking services to recommend alternative channels and provide personal banking and investment advice. Meet customer transaction needs with seamless execution and engage in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities in everyday banking and credit card needs. Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow the customer’s relationship with BMO beyond personal banking. Contribute to branch business results and the overall customer experience; support operational activities (e.g., inventory management, escalating service requests, following up on applications, filing, opening and closing activities). Identify marketing opportunities and integrate programs into conversations to provide strategic advice; organize work information for accuracy and completeness. Proactively look for approaches that personalize the customer experience and contribute to ongoing improvement of the customer experience. May work at multiple branches or through various channels; schedules may vary in days, hours, and shifts. Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets, maintain privacy, and act in customers’ best interests; stay current with regulatory requirements and ethical standards. Qualifications Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months) as appropriate for the jurisdiction. Confident and experienced with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications. Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience. Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions; strong interpersonal and listening skills; ability to solve problems and respond flexibly. Verbal and written communication skills; good organization, collaboration, and teamwork abilities; analytical and problem‑solving skills. Salary: $41,714.00 – $50,000.00; Pay Type: Salaried; part‑time salaries pro‑rated by hours; compensation may include incentives and bonuses; benefits, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and retirement plans, may apply.
