Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10s, Monday through Friday (rotating day off based on schedule) | Start times vary between 5:30 AM and 11:00 AM based on case volume | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
• Manage pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows in a fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment
• Support care for pre-op open heart and total joint patients
• Assist with moderate sedation procedures and maintain efficiency during rapid patient turnover

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Endoscopy experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Outpatient surgery and perioperative nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
