JOB SUMMARY

Works under minimal supervision to provide responsible technical assistance in performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of science. The candidate will collaborate with experimental and clinical labs to study a variety of biological and biomedical problems related to TSG syndrome‑associated developmental abnormalities and tumorigenesis as well as the role of neural stem cells and tumors in the nervous system. Collaborate with bioinformatics team to study cancer genomics data and identify predictive biomarkers or drug targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal applicants to have BS degree in Neuroscience/Biology/Genetics or other medical research related. Research experience in cancer biology, single‑cell genomics and childhood diseases would be desirable. Attention to detail, time management, effective communication skills, ability to problem solve and work independently, teamwork, customer/client service, and professionalism. Minimum working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. A cover letter is strongly recommended with your submission.

JOB DUTIES

Performs routine scientific and medical research work in science area such as biology, chemistry, physics, or other related scientific field. Assembles and/or operates various laboratory equipment and apparatus. Records research data in accordance with prescribed procedures, discussing results with supervisor. Assists in collection of data for project reports. Reads literature and confers with supervisor concerning implementation of new procedures. May plan for, and provide working supervision to, work of laboratory personnel of lower grade engaged in limited phase of research project. Performs other duties as assigned.
