Line Cook

The Oinkster is a family-owned restaurant celebrating 20 years in Eagle Rock. We’ve been serving the neighborhood since 2006, and we’re looking for experienced Line Cooks to join our team.

We’re an established, busy restaurant with clear standards and a menu our customers have returned for over the years. The right person can work quickly while staying organized, communicates well, and takes pride in serving consistently good food. You should be dependable, comfortable on a hot line, and willing to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to our standards

• Work quickly and accurately during busy service

• Keep your station clean, organized, and properly stocked

• Check food for quality and presentation

• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures

• Communicate clearly and work well with the rest of the team

• Help with prep, restocking, and cleaning as needed

What We’re Looking For: 

• At least two years of professional kitchen experience

• Previous hot-line experience

• Familiarity with standard commercial kitchen equipment

• A valid California Food Handler Card

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• A calm, reliable, and team-oriented approach

• Ability to communicate effectively during service

• Ambitious and eager to learn

Base pay: $18.50–$21/hour, depending on experience
Estimated total earnings with pooled tips: Approximately $22–$26/hour. Tips vary by shift and are not guaranteed.

Experience in a busy fast-casual restaurant, catering kitchen, or similar environment is a plus.
