Accounts Payable Clerk

About this position Description: Ace Roofing is a growing residential and commercial roofing contractor committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers and creating a positive, team-oriented work environment. We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and providing excellent internal and external customer service. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable process, ensuring vendor invoices are processed accurately and on time, maintaining vendor records, and supporting the accounting team with financial reporting and administrative tasks. This position plays a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring the integrity of the company's financial records. Requirements Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Verify invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation Prepare and process vendor payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation Assist with expense reporting and financial reconciliations Generate accounts payable reports for leadership Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and reporting Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audits Ensure compliance with company policies and internal accounting controls Support the accounting team with additional administrative and clerical duties Follow company policies, procedures, and internal controls What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Previous accounts payable or accounting experience preferred Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar accounting software Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic understanding of accounting principles Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience in the construction industry Familiarity with JobNimbus or other construction management software Why Ace Roofing?
