Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend expected; holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a combined ICU/PCU unit (16 ICU beds, 14 PCU beds) with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–2 in the ICU and 1:3 in the PCU
• Titrate standard ICU drips including vasoactive and sedative agents; perform mild titrations within written parameters on the PCU side
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including ventilator dependence, stroke, sepsis, vascular conditions, trauma, CRRT, and targeted temperature management (TTM)
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; collaborate with on-unit tele tech who monitors in-house and sister sites
• Float between ICU and PCU patients within the unit as needed
• Adhere to Navy Blue scrub dress code; complete a 2-day unit-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with thermoguard/Zoll cooling and targeted temperature management (TTM) required
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records required
• ASAP start availability required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Comfort with eICU communication tools (camera/screen-based intensivist coverage for nights)
• Experience with CRRT and management of complex ICU drips including vasoactive agents
• Flexibility with scheduling to fill unit gaps; open to block scheduling based on unit needs
