POSITION SUMMARY The Dual Enrollment Advisor utilizes a case-management advising model to support high school students in achieving academic, career, and college readiness goals. This position provides comprehensive advising, enrollment support, and academic planning while serving as a liaison between the College, ISD partners, students, and families to promote student success and seamless transition to higher education. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Advise Dual Enrollment students on admissions, onboarding, course selection, academic planning, degree requirements, transfer pathways, and college readiness standards. Interpret assessment results and assist students with TSI requirements, prior learning assessment opportunities, and other enrollment requirements. Maintain an assigned student caseload and provide proactive support through monitoring, outreach, early alerts, academic interventions, and retention strategies. Collaborate with ISD administrators, counselors, faculty, and college departments to coordinate enrollment, scheduling, student support services, and program initiatives. Communicate with students, families, and school partners regarding program requirements, academic progress, policies, and available resources. Conduct presentations, orientation programs, recruiting events, and informational sessions for prospective students and families. Support students on academic probation or suspension through individualized action plans and ongoing case management. Assist with collection of documentation, data entry, tuition waiver processing, and maintenance of student records. Coordinate special projects, events, reports, and other program activities as assigned. Maintain flexible work schedules, including travel to high school campuses and occasional evening or weekend activities. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field. Two (2) years of advising, counseling, or student success support experience with high school or college populations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two (2) years of experience in student services at a community college or university. Experience working with Dual Enrollment, college readiness, or early college programs. Familiarity with Colleague, Skyward, or similar student information systems. Bilingual – English/Spanish. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of student advising, enrollment processes, college readiness standards, and academic planning. Strong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to manage a large caseload while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to build collaborative relationships with students, families, faculty, administrators, and school district partners. Proficiency with student information systems, virtual communication platforms, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and off-campus assignments as needed.
