Travel LPN - LPN

American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical LPN for a night shift assignment requiring IV certification and 2+ years of recent specialty experience at a Level I Trauma Center.

Job Details

• Medical Surgical unit at a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center,
• Team nursing model with 1:7 patient ratios, supported by PCC, RN, and other staff,
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:00,
• On-call and weekend coverage required as needed,
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered but standard block scheduling is not accommodated,
• May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare,

Job Requirements

• Active LPN license required if applicable, must comply with NLC guidelines with no pending licensure accepted,
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical required, 3+ years preferred,
• IV certification required, including starting and maintaining IVs,
• Level I Trauma Center experience required,
• Large hospital experience required,
• Prior travel assignment experience required, first-time travelers not accepted unless 3+ years of recent experience,
• BLS certification required,
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred,
• Cerner charting system experience preferred,
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,
• Vaccination status documentation required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Perform Med/Surg and MS/Tele nursing duties including IV therapy and phlebotomy,
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1,
• Former permanent staff and travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• All RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, as RTO requested after an offer is made will not be honored,
• Local candidates not accepted; strict 100-mile radius rule applies,
• Any certifications set to expire during the assignment require a documented renewal plan
