Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) Emerging Markets

DoorDash is seeking an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) to join its Emerging Markets Outside Sales team. This role is responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new restaurant partnerships across assigned territories and expanding DoorDash's presence in underserved and rural markets.

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), particularly within the restaurant, food, or beverage industries. This is a highly interactive field sales position that requires regular face-to-face meetings with restaurant owners and decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new restaurant partners within assigned territories.
• Educate restaurant owners on the value of partnering with DoorDash and negotiate partnership agreements.
• Manage a fast-paced sales cycle and close new business opportunities quickly.
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to execute market expansion strategies.
• Utilize sales tools, market intelligence, and partnership resources to maximize results.
• Expand DoorDash's footprint in emerging and underserved markets.

Travel Requirements

• Candidates must reside within 40 minutes of either Cookeville or Chattanooga, TN.
• Travel is required for approximately 50% or more of the time.
• Most travel will occur within a two-hour radius of the assigned market.
• Occasional overnight travel, extended driving days, or flights may be required.
• All approved travel expenses will be covered by DoorDash.

Compensation

• Fixed pay rate of $29/hour.
• Additional commission earned for each new restaurant partnership.
• Estimated On-Target Earnings (OTE): $1,900 per month in commissions.
• Commission structure is uncapped, allowing for higher earning potential.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2.5 years of sales experience in a closing role or similar customer-facing sales position.
• Proven success selling to SMBs; restaurant or food service sales experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage territory-based sales and frequent travel.
• Experience utilizing both inside and outside sales strategies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop and execute scalable sales plans.
