Lead CustodianThe YMCA of Downtown Manchester is hiring a full-time Lead Custodian to support our building that provides many valuable services and programs for our Greater Manchester community.The Lead Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the YMCA facility. They are required to maintain a level of cleanliness to be able to open for normal business; attention to detail, technical know-how, problem solving, and safety skills are key for this position.Pay Range: $13 - $16hrFull-time hourly positionShift: Flexible shifts available; occasional evening shifts and availability for weekend coverage is requiredEssential Functions:Cleaning of building facilities such as locker rooms, restrooms, offices, fitness studios, classrooms and common areas following assigned proceduresEnsure the buildings and grounds are kept in a safe and clean order through use of custodial skills and collaboration with other Facilities/branch staffDuties will include replenishing stock in bathrooms, gathering and emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, monitoring building safety and security and dustingServe as the primary point of contact for resolving minor and day-to-day custodial-related issues, and seek assistance/elevate large projects as neededEffectively maintain knowledge of branch operations to proactively support ongoing events and programsSupport additional custodial staff to ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately in the absence of the Facility DirectorQualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalentExperience working in custodial operations preferredMust be able to read and follow safety instructions on cleaning agent chemicals required to complete the jobBenefits/Perks:Flexible hours and team environmentLeadership development and paid trainingStaff receive a free family Y membershipRetirement plans available (for 18+)Tuition discounts to some NH and online schoolsUp to 50% discount on Y programs, childcare and camp servicesPaid time off starting at 27 days per year
