Fleet Management Analyst II

Inside the Role The Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) Specialty Use Vehicle (SUV) Group is responsible for the transport, licensing, presentation, and operational support of DTNA products across all divisions and groups. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the functional vehicle fleet, office, and operational support for DTNA vehicles and drivers. Maintain DOT compliance policies related to the operation, driving, and reporting of corporate‑owned commercial vehicles. Coordinate and monitor vehicle maintenance, repairs, recalls, and service campaigns with Shop Supervisors to ensure operational readiness. Analyze and track vehicle utilization, service scheduling, and location using fleet management systems. Oversee pool vehicle operations, including parking assignments, scheduling, condition assessments, and violation tracking. Provide DOT compliance oversight and enforcement support across DTNA. Lead and facilitate Commercial Vehicle Advisory Board meetings, including agenda development, issue analysis, and stakeholder coordination. Support Commercial Motor Vehicle driver training programs for CDL drivers operating Specialty Use Vehicles. Manage vehicle registration activities for apportioned, commercial, trailer, and pool vehicles. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual DOT reporting requirements, including OSCAR, IRP, EPA, UCR, and FHVUT. Assist with fuel card administration and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) programs. Conduct accident investigations and coordinate root‑cause reviews, damage claim submissions, and recoveries. Validate and process BancPay invoices related to PVE/SUV operations. Maintain SharePoint sites for corporate‑owned Specialty Use Vehicles. Coordinate vehicle turn‑ins, reassignments, and disposal activities. Coordinate with the DTNA Customs Department for Canadian border crossings of not‑for‑hire vehicles. Provide backup support for the SUV Operations Analyst I role as needed. Travel periodically to support vehicle events, audits, and operational needs. Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a minimum of 5 consecutive years of clean driving history. Highly detail‑oriented, analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively across teams. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clean driving record and ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with manual transmissions. Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and related project management software. Strong data analysis capabilities and ability to interpret complex information. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and DOT compliance requirements. Proficient in technical documentation, problem analysis, and stakeholder communication. Strong time management and organizational skills. Benefits Salary range: $78,000 to $100,000 USD depending on knowledge, skills, and experience. 401(k) company contribution with match up to 8% and non‑elective contribution of 3‑7% based on age.
