Responsibilities

• Follow the daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.

• Ensure products conform to specifications.

• Prevent and minimize rework.

• Perform standard operating procedures of production and inspection functions as directed.

• Return from breaks in a timely manner and notify the lead/foreman/supervisor before leaving the department.

• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork as directed.

• Attend all department and company scheduled meetings.

• Work assigned shift as scheduled.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Immediately report all accidents and deficiencies to the lead/foreman/supervisor.

• Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly.

• Suggest improvements and continuously improve the quality of all support activities.

• Perform all required duties within company safety standards.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a shorter shift on Fridays from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime is mandatory. You will work closely with the department supervisor in a facility with a distinct smell, emphasizing teamwork and cross-training. The work schedule includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch at 11:30 AM. On the first day, training will be conducted by the safety manager.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Dodge, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
