Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Alaska

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Alaska

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 variable shifts with weekend coverage required. Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period. Flexibility to float within scope required to meet facility needs.

• Critical Access Hospital with Level IV Trauma designation serving acute care and long-term care patients
• 4-bed Labor & Delivery unit utilizing Epic charting system
• Full interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
• Facility-provided housing included during assignment (1-bedroom apartment, no pets allowed)
• Free parking and business casual or scrubs of choice dress code
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of L&D experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Proficiency in essential L&D skills including fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery assistance, postpartum care, newborn assessment, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, and cesarean section support
• Ability to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
