Adjunct Instructor of Arabic

The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Union College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor in Arabic to teach Basic Arabic 1 , scheduled to begin Fall 2026. The role is in-person and will be held on a Monday‑Wednesday‑Friday schedule. Responsibilities Teach the Basic Arabic 1 course for a 10‑week term, with 65‑minute class sessions. Schedule and conduct 3 office hours per week. Provide office hours and course support as required. Qualifications Master’s degree in Arabic or a closely‑related field. Experience teaching college‑level Arabic courses. Native or near‑native proficiency in Arabic. Work Schedule & Compensation Term dates: September 9, 2026 – November 17, 2026. Adjunct courses are compensated at a flat rate of $5,650 per course.
