Overview RN MedSurg, Part Time Nights – Surgical Unit. Sign on Bonus up to $5,000. Schedule: 2 x 12‑hour shifts per week. Join us at Piedmont Eastside: 36 Med/Surg beds, complex patient needs. Management of patients having or requiring: general post‑surgical, bariatric, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetic, osteomyelitis, pancreatitis. The unit uses bedside report handoff, purposeful rounding, quality initiatives such as pain assessment, pressure ulcer prevention, infection prevention for lines and catheters, unit educator, charge nurse, EPIC system. Responsibilities The staff nurse provides nursing care from birth through lifecycle, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates; functions within policies, demonstrates professional growth and accountability; maintains standards and coordinates care activities for quality. Perform patient assessments, collecting data on physical, psychosocial, and health history. Evaluate developmental age for assessments, treatments, and education. Organize data into a plan of care, identify needs, and make decisions. Carry out the plan of care to achieve desired outcomes. Provide patient care specific to severity of disease, condition, or disability. Oversee ancillary and support team members. Identify teaching opportunities and provide resources for patient education. Communicate issues and concerns to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and/or physician. Document patient care and concerns in the patient record. Additional Qualifications: PRN positions: one year nursing experience in hospital; bachelor’s preferred; advanced certification in specialty if applicable; nursing experience in hospital preferred.
