Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry McKinstry is looking for a Senior Project Manager - Data Center Construction to join our Data Center Innovations division in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for overseeing high-complexity projects and client relationships, providing leadership and revenue oversight while directing multiple Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Additional responsibilities may include: Project Management Lead projects from initiation to closeout, developing and managing project plans, schedules, and scopes of work. Oversee resource allocation, scheduling, and coordination for project completion, including internal and external teams. Serve as the primary contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel, facilitating communication and documenting key decisions. Manage procurement activities, safety compliance, and risk mitigation for all phases of the project. Define project responsibilities, coordinate implementation handoffs, and ensure accurate business reporting and project closeout. Project Controls Assume financial responsibility for projects, including accurate and timely reporting, invoice payments, and billing substantiation. Monitor, control, and report on project financial performance, including monthly accounting reviews, budgets, forecasts, and cost issue logs. Draft and oversee subcontracts, purchase agreements and client billings, ensuring compliance and positive stakeholder relationships. Respond to stakeholder inquiries and deliver data to support project forecasts. Communication Serve as the primary point of contact with customers. Inform internal and external customers of new offerings and upgrades. Facilitate communication internally between the project team and other departments. Make presentations to a variety of audiences and act as a subject matter expert. Identify, qualify, and funnel potential new service opportunities to the Business Development team. Development team. Direct customer requests for product functionality enhancements to the appropriate people. Team Management Recruit, coach, and mentor project team members. Develop project staffing plans to include labor and subcontractors. Forecast Project Manager labor requirements. Act as steward of McKinstry culture; communicate and influence policies and procedures. Establish and lead associated meetings. Define individual project responsibilities and accountabilities. Perform other duties as assigned, What You Need To Succeed at McKinstry Demonstrated proficiency in all Project Manager responsibilities. BA/BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or comparable degree required. 8-10 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction required, including experience working for a General Contractor. Experience on large data center projects is required. Strong knowledge of construction management, commercial building processes, means and methods, financial acumen, and estimating skills. Experience with construction financial programs software and labor relations, including union contracts and hiring practices. The pay range for this position is $105,030 - $185,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
