About the Position

Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ years of hospital specialty experience License: Active TX RN License only Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: Labor and delivery experience Recovery experience Immediate newborn care Ability to provide care during the golden hour Experience in PACU and C-section recovery Description: This is a travel position for an RN specializing in labor and delivery. The RN will work in a unit that has 4 labor, delivery, and recovery rooms. Patient ratios are generally 1:1 for labor induction and 2:1 for other cases. The unit does not have a unit secretary or tech. The documentation system used is Meditech and CPN. Scheduling will require working every other weekend. There is no floating policy in this unit. Candidates must have the skills necessary to circulate C-sections and provide comprehensive care in labor and delivery. Experience with Meditech is preferred. Patient experience initiatives like AIDET and bedside shift report are utilized. Dress code requires facility-provided scrubs. Nail policy mandates clean and healthy appearance. Hair must be neat and clean, avoiding extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be neatly trimmed. Body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings outside of earrings are prohibited. Attendance policies are enforced within the unit. This position is for one RN with the required skills and experience.
