Schedule & Compensation

Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Part-Time)

Location: Various client homes across Wayne and Holmes Counties, OH

Pay: Competitive compensation based on experience ($16.00 – $22.50/hr)

What You'll Be Doing (Comprehensive Responsibilities & Skills)
This role requires a confident professional who is highly comfortable providing total physical assistance, memory care, and mid-day home management. Duties include:

Comprehensive Personal Care: Providing full assistance with daytime Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.

Advanced Mobility & Safe Transfers: Executing safe mobility techniques in and around the house for daily activities. Must be proficient with gait belts, pivot transfers, slide boards, bed mobility, and mechanical lifts (Hoyer lift, sit-to-stand lift).

Memory Care & Engagement: Navigating the specific needs of clients with Alzheimer's and Dementia by utilizing calm communication, redirection, and keeping them engaged in meaningful daytime activities.

Health & Wellness Support: Administering accurate, timely mid-day medication reminders and monitoring overall client well-being.

Meal Preparation & Home Management: Planning and preparing a wholesome lunch and afternoon snacks catered to the client's needs, and completing light housekeeping (laundry, sweeping, kitchen cleanup) to ensure a safe, tidy environment.

Engaging Companionship: Offering active, empathetic companionship, taking clients for safe walks (if applicable), and participating in hobbies that maintain the client's safety, dignity, and independence.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 1+ year of caregiving experience required (experience with full hands-on care, memory care, and safe transfers is highly preferred).

Skills: Superior interpersonal and effective communication skills, alongside unwavering patience.

Logistics: Must possess a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, active auto insurance, and the willingness to travel within Wayne and Holmes counties.

Clearances: Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check.
