Sr. Project ManagerThe Senior Project Management Specialist (SPMS) directs, controls, administers, and manages an enhancement or development of medium to large and/or enterprise-wide project(s). The Project Management Specialist's primary responsibility is to drive the entire project/program from start to finish. The Project Management Specialist must ensure that the project/program is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical standards and policies.What You'll DoDevelop estimates for the enhancement or development effort in planning, analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementationAccountable for delivery of all work tasks identified in the program planCapture and report required program management metricsAdjust and revise estimates when necessaryEnsure all changes to scope follow processes and are documentedEnsure new estimates are approved by the client and agreed uponManage, and track the program progress against the program planMonitor project milestones and phases to ensure the project is on scheduleTake corrective actions if a project begins to slip its scheduleAccountable for the final program management evaluation review with stakeholders for approval upon program completionTailor and baseline all program templatesSchedule or monitor status reviews, peer reviews, program management inspections, and software quality assurance work product and process reviews with the appropriate designated resourcesNotify team leads of project timelines, milestones, phases, work requests target dates, and approved executable work packageCommunicate and work with users and client as necessaryCoordinate and present proposals to agencies as necessaryAnalyze and distribute reports on program metrics associated with work items related to improvement measuresEnsure processes and activities are followedWhat You'll Need RequiredBachelor's Degree in related field required7+ years of experience managing medium to large-scale IT, software development, or enterprise-wide technology projects from initiation through implementationExperience developing project plans, managing project schedules, and ensuring on-time delivery of project milestonesProven ability to manage project scope, risks, issues, changes, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining adherence to established project governance processesExperience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and client organizations throughout the project lifecycleStrong program and project reporting experience, including tracking KPIs, presenting status updates to leadership, and ensuring successful project completion and stakeholder approvalPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsSedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
