The Opportunity

OBHG OB/GYN Hospitalists are the in-house experts whose ability to handle any obstetric emergency dramatically improves patient safety and satisfaction.

This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time. We are seeking OB/GYNs with exceptional clinical and communication skills, a passion for healthcare quality improvement, and a desire to shape the future of our specialty.

Multicare Auburn Medical Center | Auburn

Hospital Information

The Family Birth Center at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC) features 12 private rooms where moms labor, deliver, recover and stay post-partum. Each of the rooms has a window, jetted tub, sofa, two visitor chairs, one rocking chair, and a baby warmer. For babies needing extended care, an Intermediate Care Nursery with 24/7 coverage from board-certified neonatology specialists is available. Moms also have access to lactation support for help with breastfeeding. MAMC currently performs approximately 1,488 births annually and sees 1,221 triage visits.

Providence St. Peter Hospital is a not-for-profit 390-bed facility that has earned Magnet recognition and has served the region since 1856. Its Family Birth Center delivers 2,000 babies each year, more than any other hospital in the five-county region. The Center is dedicated to high-quality care in a family-focused environment. It is home to a 13-bed level II Special Care Nursery.

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital is home to the Family Birth Center which was completely renovated and expanded in 2014. These renovations included all private birthing suites with en suite bathrooms and tubs, state-of-the-art medical technology, and a Level IV NICU. This is the region's only Level IV NICU. The Family Birth Center also has lactation support on staff as well as a highly trained team of nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff to support new families every step of the way. MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital currently performs approximately 2,900 annual deliveries and approximately 7,300 unscheduled outpatient triage visits.

Its Family Birth Center offers the widest range of prenatal, pregnancy, maternal-fetal medicine, delivery and post-partum services in the region. The hospital is home to a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and features all private labor and delivery suites, as well as private postpartum rooms.
