Press Operator

SUMMARY: The Press Operator’s primary responsibility is to ensure parts being produced meet customers’ requirements (See QC Standard). However, the Press Operator may also be required to perform other duties as requested by Management or his/her supervisor. The role reports functionally to the supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure parts fall from mold/cycle the gate.
• Perform secondary operations to meet customer requirements (See QC Standard).
• Follow operator instruction sheet.
• Barcode parts.
• Pack parts (See packaging instruction).
• Think safety first.
• Contact supervisor immediately if non-conforming parts occur.
• Sign the Operator Instruction Verification Sign‑Off Sheet.
• Ensure production requirements are met on a shift basis.
• Maintain general housekeeping and organization of the workstation.
• Record and plot scrap.
• Maintain production boards on an hourly basis.
• Complete any and all tasks or assignments as requested by Management or the supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Follows all safety, housekeeping, and company policies and procedures.

Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of one year of related experience. Knowledge of work instructions.
