Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care
• Circulate in the OR for cesarean sections and attend vaginal deliveries, including support for newborn resuscitation
• Recover vaginal and cesarean delivery patients and provide care to antepartum patients requiring management in Labor & Delivery
• Competently triage patients at 20 weeks gestation and above; communicate effectively with providers regarding patient status
• Float between departments within the Women's Pavilion as needed
• Fulfill on-call requirements of 2 twelve-hour call shifts per every 6 weeks, with at least one being a weekend shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Minimum 2 previously completed travel assignments in Labor & Delivery
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency assessment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CPN (GE) and Cerner electronic medical record systems
• Experience circulating for cesarean sections is strongly preferred
