We’re looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who wants to bring their expertise, compassion, and creativity to a team that truly believes every individual has the potential to grow. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at NCFL, you’ll: Provide habilitative therapy services focused on independence, skill development, and quality of life. Work alongside supervising Occupational Therapist(s) and the Clinical Director to provide individualized care. Coordinate with Occupational Therapist(s) to adapt or modify treatment approaches as indicated. Support adults with I/DD as well as individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or psychological needs. Help turn therapy recommendations into everyday opportunities for growth at home and in the community. Educate direct support staff on recommendations and strategies to reinforce outside of therapy sessions. Partner with Support Coordinators to encourage consistent implementation of recommendations across settings. Complete daily notes, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries accurately and on time. Maintain thorough documentation while meeting legal, ethical, and agency requirements. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other members of the individual's care team to support effective, coordinated care. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a collaborative approach to client care. Follow NJ DDD guidelines for habilitative therapy services and directives from supervising Occupational Therapist(s) and the Clinical Director.
