Forklift OperatorThis role focuses on safely operating a forklift and supporting warehouse production activities for chemical and cleaning products packaged in small boxes and drums. You will fill and handle chemical containers, label and prepare products for shipment, and move materials throughout the facility while maintaining accuracy, safety, and attention to detail.ResponsibilitiesOperate a forklift safely to move, load, and unload materials, boxes, and chemical containers throughout the warehouse.Fill 20-gallon jugs of chemicals from 50-gallon bins according to production and shipping requirements.Assist with labeling chemical containers and boxes, including applying shipping labels by hand.Handle picking and packing tasks to prepare orders for shipment in small boxes and 55-gallon drums.Lift, carry, and position boxes weighing between 10 and 50 pounds as part of daily material handling and production work.Organize and put away filled and labeled products in designated areas throughout the warehouse.Support general production activities as needed, including basic material handling and general production worker duties.Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working with chemicals and operating warehouse equipment.Maintain clean, orderly work areas and contribute to an efficient, well-organized warehouse environment.Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure accurate order fulfillment.Essential SkillsAbility to lift and carry 10–50 pounds on a regular basis.At least 6 months of warehouse experience.Experience operating a forklift or working in a forklift-supported environment.Basic written and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and complete documentation.Strong attention to detail when filling containers, labeling products, and preparing shipments.Comfort working in a repetitive, production-focused environment and standing for extended periods.Ability to follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a material handler, general production worker, or in picking and packing roles.Familiarity with working around chemicals or in a chemical production or packaging environment.Reliability and punctuality for consistent Monday–Friday shift work.Ability to work both independently and as part of a small production and warehouse team.Why Work Here?You join a small, close-knit facility with a single operating shift, offering a consistent schedule and a supportive team environment. The building is temperature controlled in certain areas due to the nature of the products, though there can be a strong chemical smell throughout the facility on certain days depending on which chemicals are being produced. Work is performed on-site in a warehouse and production setting, with regular standing and repetitive tasks. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, with shifts typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dress is practical and appropriate for a warehouse and chemical-handling environment, prioritizing safety and comfort.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Chambersburg, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35360.00 - $35360.00/yr.
