Job Responsibilities
- Design Tailored Treatment Strategies: Assess patients' needs and create customized therapy plans to facilitate their functional goals.
- Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Use research-supported techniques to enhance patients' motor skills, cognitive abilities, and everyday functions.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance and knowledge to patients and caregivers on therapy practices that promote sustained progress.
- Track and Assess Progress: Monitor clinical outcomes and adapt treatment strategies to ensure patients stay on the right path.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Continuing education or advanced certifications are highly encouraged and supported.
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of others and a commitment to helping them achieve maximum independence.
- Effective, empathetic communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
